ACT Fire and Rescue extinguished a rubbish fire at the Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre on Friday night.

Firefighters arrived to the Symonston tip at about 7pm on Friday to find a rubbish pile alight.

Firefighters departed after extinguishing the fire leaving on site staff to separate the burnt pile from the unburnt pile with heavy machinery.
