15 binge-worthy TV shows to get you through the cold weather

The weather is chilly in most of the United States heading into the weekend, and a polar vortex is coming next week. You know what that means: hunker down with a cozy blanket and some good TV. Here are some recommendations for binge-worthy shows to add to your queue.

"You" (Netflix)

It's the show everyone's talking about right now. Bye-bye Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley's "Gossip Girl" character), hello Joe. Badgley plays an incredibly creepy bookstore manager who falls in love with a woman who visits his store, and we won't spoil it, but he's willing to do anything to be with her.

"Sex Education" (Netflix)

Make sure the kids are asleep before you press "play" on this one. This raunchy British comedy about a socially awkward high school boy whose mother is a sex therapist (played by Gillian Anderson) is more heartwarming than you may think at first glance.

"Bodyguard" (Netflix)

This British TV show features a war veteran with PTSD assigned to become a bodyguard for controversial female politician -- who was a supporter of the same conflict he fought in.

"Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes" (Netflix)

Get an intimate look at of America's most prolific serial killers featuring statements made by Bundy himself. Don't watch this one alone after dark.

"Tidying Up With Marie Kondo" (Netflix)

This show definitely sparks joy. Everyone's favorite organization guru has taken her talents from the page to the screen, and it's just as endearing as you'd expect -- and it may even inspire you to do some cleaning of your own.

"Amazing Hotels" (Netflix)

Travel the world and don't leave your bedroom. This show is exactly what it sounds like -- a showcase of amazing hotels around the world. One of the first hotels featured is the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore, which consists of three high-rise towers and a pool stretching in between.

This show is roughly based on the story of two FBI agents tasked with profiling serial killers in the FBI.

"Manhunt: Unabomber" (Netflix)

If you're a true crime lover, this show takes court records and writings from the Unabomber case and turns it into a drama on how the FBI profiled Ted Kaczynski and eventually tracked him down.

"American Vandal" (Netflix)

If you like true crime, you'll recognize the style of this mockumentary. Its two seasons take crime documentaries like "Making A Murderer" and tackle a goofy topic -- like who drew inappropriate body parts on teachers' cars or who put laxatives in the school lemonade.

This drama/thriller is centered in the Florida Keys around a family's seaside hotel, starring Kyle Chandler of "Friday Night Lights" fame.

"Ozark" (Netflix)

Jason Bateman as a money launderer for a drug cartel may not seem like appropriate casting, but it's unbelievably addicting -- especially with Laura Linney playing his wife.
