Now, That’s A Dealer Markup: Bugatti Divo Build Slot Comes With A $2 Million Premium

You’ll have to sell way more than a kidney (which, by the way, is illegal in most countries) to be able to afford a Bugatti Divo.

Listed by a car dealer located in Munich, Germany, this particular example, or rather build slot, was discovered on Mobile.

It’s offered for an eye-watering €6,650,000, equal to around US$7,600,000 at today’s rates, before taxes, or €7,913,500 / $8,989,970 with 19% VAT in Germany. That’s about twice the cost of a barely-driven Chiron, or three to four times more than a Veyron, depending on its condition.

All this makes for a hefty $2 million profit, give or take, since the official sticker price is around the €5 million or US$5.7 million mark.

The seller claims this particular Divo will be built close to the end of the year – December 28, to be precise. So, it should come in handy for a Christmas gift to the few one-per centers who can actually afford it.

This example has been ordered with a black bodywork over an Alcantara interior. As expected, it’s packed with all sorts of features worthy of the price tag, but what justifies its monstrous price, even without the huge premium, is the fact that it’s going to be a limited run of just 40 units.

The Divo is powered by the same 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine as the Chiron, which makes 1,500 PS (1,479 hp / 1,103 kW) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in under 3 seconds.

Compared to the Chiron, on which it is based, it sports a revised suspension and steering, and it also weighs 35 kg (77 lbs) less. Despite that, its top speed is electronically limited to 380 km/h (236 mph), as Bugatti claims there are no tires on the market than can safely exceed that number on the road.
