Man admits to Forrestfield home invasion aimed at scaring his 'loud' neighbours

A man has pleaded guilty to posing as a delivery driver and forcing himself into his neighbour's Forrestfield home to scare a grandmother and three children into "keeping to themselves more".

Anandkumar Sivapragasm was initially suspected of trying to abduct one of the children after he broke into the home wearing a motorbike helmet to conceal his face on December 19.

Police later accused the 37-year-old of pushing his way into a 67-year-old woman's house and assaulting her with a sticky tape dispenser while trying to conceal her mouth.

The chemical technician, who is married with an eight-year-old daughter,  was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated common assault, unlawful assault occasioning bodily harm and going armed to cause fear.

He told an earlier court hearing he had entered his neighbour's house because to wanted to scare the family into "keeping to themselves more".

On Thursday Sivapragasm had pleaded guilty to all charges during his second appearance at Perth Magistrates Court.

He spoke only to say, "I plead guilty, sir".

He will be sentenced on July 31.
