There is no move by the Kamal Nath Government to abolish he Bhawantar Scheme of the previous BJP Government.But the Government is going to make certain changes in the scheme to give more benefit to the farmers.
Earlier the previous Government where paying relief fund to the farmers on the crash of price on their produce.
Later Mr.Chouhan formulated a scheme ‘Bhawantar’ for payment to help the farmers whenever there were price crash by paying the difference between the market price and farmers cost of production and margin of profit.
The Bhawantar scheme was unique of its kind and many other state Governments became eager to adopt it in their states.The Kamal Nath Government felt that the original scheme was not helping the farmers upto the mark and it needed certain changes on it.
