Woman tests positive for swine flu
TNN | Jan 25, 2019, 04:07 ISTVadodara: A 54-year-old woman tested positive for swine flu in the city on Thursday.
The deadly flu has raised its head again off late and 11 positive cases were reported in the city during this week itself. The cases included five from the city, four from Vadodara district and two from nearby districts of Bharuch and Dahod.
The woman who tested positive for the flu on Thursday was a resident of the Waghodiya-Dabhoi Ring Road. She has been admitted to a private hospital. In all six samples were tested on Thursday and one of them tested positive.
The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) health department was forced to call back the epidemic officer transferred to Rajpipla from the city recently. The officer will be working in the VMC till the situation stabilises.
So far, 29 persons from the city have tested positive for swine flu. Two deaths were also reported in the city due to the flu.tnn
