Residents of Nikol ward suffering from the poor road connectivity continue to protest. Despite, several appeals to the local councillors and civic authority there is no solution for their apathy. On Wednesday more than hundred residents staged protest seeking liberation from the battered roads.

In December 2018, residents of eight apartments have posted banners stating, 'no road, no vote'. However, there has been no concrete solution so far. "In last three to four years we have written to many civic authorities to repair the roads and provide better connectivity. But there has been no solution to it. Even the local councillors are not helping at all. So , we have decided to boycott the upcoming polls," said Himanshu Patel, a resident from the area.

Women too joined in the protest by beating thalis. "This is a wake up call for the sleeping authorities. The bad roads are leading to accidents. On an average one person meets with an accident on this patch. This is a serious issue and we as taxpayers, demand a solution to this," said Sudha Panchal, another resident.

When contacted Ramesh Desai, the road and building committee chairman, he said, "Most of the area has better road connectivity. The other areas that are newly developed will be provided connectivity soon."
