'My husband cheated while my son lay fighting for his life': An Australian woman was left devastated as her partner had an affair while their son was fighting cancer
An Australian woman has revealed how her husband had an affair with her friend Nat, while their son Ted laying in hospital fighting for his life.
At just 14 months, Ted was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, and spent six weeks in emergency.
The woman recalled how she knew something was wrong when Ted had a snotty nose, was vomiting and was left with large bruises on his body.
Ted stayed in isolation for eight to twelve months, receiving intensive chemotherapy, and later relocated to the Ronald McDonald House for further treatment.
It was during this time that Paul told his wife he would be going away for a few weeks to pack up their family home, so that it could be rented.
Paul told his wife that the job was taking longer than expected and was relying on the support of their friend Nat to help speed things along.

It wasn't until she noticed just how close Paul and Nat were becoming, that she decided to confront her husband.
In response, Paul told his wife: 'Why would you think that?! Our son is dying.'
However a short time later, Paul confessed to being 'in love' with Nat.
'It's over, you've been bugger all support,' she told her husband, with the couple eventually divorcing in 2017.
Now age seven, Ted is healthy and happy, and the woman has moved on with a new partner, Brett.
