It was a felicitation by journalists to a journalist-turned-politician.
After showering praises on him and wishing a best performance in his new innings, the members of Telangana Union of Working Journalists honoured TRS Andhole MLA Ch. Kranti Kiran here on Wednesday. He was felicitated by TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao at Indira Priyadarishini Auditorium at Nampally Public Gardens.
Mr. Rao said TRS has given suitable positions to representatives of every section that took active part in the Telangana agitation.
Assuring that he would take up the responsibility of solving issues faced by journalists, Mr. Rama Rao said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was also keen on ensuring the welfare of the journalist community.
Stating that it was responsibility of people to support the government, Mr. Kranthi said the TRS government had the distinction of implementing the highest welfare schemes for people.
