GURUGRAM: The 14-year-old daughter of a CRPF jawan fell off the fourth floor of her house on Monday evening. By the time police reached the spot, the family had already taken her to the hospital. She is still critical and unfit for recording the statement, said doctors.

Not just police but also a team from child welfare committee (CWC) headed by chairperson Shakuntala Dhull met the girl’s parents to find out what had happened. The parents insisted that she slipped and fell but both police and CWC are looking into whether she was pushed or not. The investigating authorities are waiting for the girl to get fit and talk to them while neighbours are also being quizzed.

According to police, around 8pm on Monday, the girl fell from the fourth floor of a residential building in the CRPF camp in Kadarpur. The girl’s father had been posted at the Kadarpur camp for the past many years, according to police. The family and neighbours were questioned but no one has given any relevant details.

Shakuntala Dhull said, “Whether she was pushed or fell is a matter of investigation. We have asked police to take her statement but since she is critical, we are waiting to get fit.”
