Global cues lift soya

Uptrend in soy and other oils continued on strong global cues and weak availability of soybean seeds with soy refined here today rising to ₹770 for 10 kg, while soy solvent ruled at ₹735-38. Similarly, palm and cotton oils also ruled higher with palm oil today quoted at ₹685, while cotton oil (Gujarat) ruled at ₹695 for 10 kg and cotton oil (Indore) was quoted at ₹740. Groundnut oil, on the other hand, traded lower at ₹950 on weak physical demand.

Mustard seeds ruled stable at ₹4,000 a quintal, while raida quoted at ₹3,700 on weak physical demand in mustard oil. In future, mustard seeds ruled higher on strong global cues with its February contract today closing at ₹3,922 (up ₹6), while its March contract closed ₹5 higher at ₹3,957 a quintal. Plant deliveries of mustard seeds for Jaipur line were quoted at ₹4,180-₹4,185 a quintal.
