Ex-kidnapping victim, Jayme Closs is set to receive $25,000 for rescuing herself.
??Jennie-O Turkey Store’s parent company, Hormel Foods, said in a press release??they will donate the reward contribution to Closs who escaped her alleged captor, Jake Patterson, in early January.
??“Her bravery and strength have truly inspired our team members around the world." The CEO of Hormel Foods said.
??Jayme’s parents James and Denise who police say were shot and killed by Patterson during the kidnapping, both worked for Jennie-O for over 25 years.
??The president of Jennie-O Turkey Store commented the company is hoping to set up a trust fund for the 13-year old soon or in the future.
??When Closs went missing back in October 2018, the FBI set up a $25,000 reward and Jennie-O later added another 25 grand to it.
??It is not clear what the FBI will do with their portion of the reward money.
USA Today has reached out to the FBI for comment.
