The Tamil Nadu government, in its counter affidavit to the petition had earlier informed the Madras High Court that the decision to construct a memorial for late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was a policy decision and there was no conviction against her as of date.
The Madras High Court on Wednesday heard plea of one ML Ravi, the president of Desiya Makkal Sakthi Katchi against the construction of memorial for the former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Marina. The Court dismissed the plea, allowing TN government to resume the construction of memorial.
