Mumbai: Udaya SC rallied to hold Jaihind SC to a 1-1 draw in a league match of the 23rd Shri Late Ramanath Payyade Memorial football tournament at Karnatak Sports Centre, Cross Maidan. Jaihind scored in the very first minute through Shrinath Rathod to take the lead. But, Udaya came fight back and drew level through Mohit Gatti’s goal in the 15th minute. In another match Mogaveera SC blanked Jai Bharat SC 6-0. Sumedh Kandala scored three, Bloecher Mendes got two and Sahil Shriyan netted one to complete Mogaveera’s victory. Results: Jaihind SC 1 (Shrinath Rathod) drew with Udaya SC 1 (Mohit Gatti); Mogaveera SC 6 (Sumedh Kandala 3, Bloecher Mendes 2, Sahil Shriyan) beat Jai Bharat SC 0.
