'I'm going to be a dad!' Comedian Matt Okine announces he is expecting his first child with his partner Belinda
He is currently preparing for the second season of his Stan comedy The Other Guy.
And 2019 is shaping up to be a busy year for comedian Matt Okine, 33, who also announced on Wednesday that his partner is pregnant with their first child.
Matt revealed the exciting news on the Today show, telling entertainment reporter Brooke Boney: 'I'm writing a book and making a TV show. And this is a bit of an exclusive, I'm going to be a dad soon!'
'It's going to be happening pretty soon, [in] March. I'm very excited about that. And a shout out to my beautiful partner Belinda [Rabe] as well,' he added.

Matt, who is of Ghanaian descent, then joked that he and Belinda are 'gunning for the most anticipated quarter-black baby in 2019 with Harry and Meghan'.
Shortly after the interview, Matt shared a sweet photo to Instagram of himself and his heavily pregnant partner at the beach.

Also during his Today show interview, Matt confirmed that his comedy series The Other Guy had been renewed for a second season on Stan.
The semi-autobiographical program follows radio host AJ, whose life unravels after he discovers his girlfriend has cheated on him with his best friend.
'To have the opportunity to make season two is genuinely a dream come true', Matt said in a statement.

He continued: 'And I'm super proud that we get to keep making such a funny, unique show with the rawness and honesty that made the first season so well-loved.
'I've also been putting a lot of mental preparation into filming because it's impossible to keep a straight face when you're working with [co-star] Harriet Dyer, who is hands-down one of the funniest people and performers I know.'
'I can't wait to show Australian and international audiences the next chapter of this story,' he concluded.
