ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams announced the arrest of 36-year-old Nathan Sutherland, who faces sexual assault charges after a woman in a vegetative state gave birth last month at the long-term care facility in Phoenix.

She said Sutherland was employed at the facility as a licensed practicing nurse.

The woman was left incapacitated for nearly a decade after a near drowning, the LA Times reported.
