After a no-penalty call in the New Orleans Saints and LA Rams game that likely cost the Saints an NFC Championship, the Governor of Louisiana has issued a formal complaint to the NFL.????In a letter to league commissioner, Roger Goodell, Governor John Bel Edwards wrote, "The very least that any fan of the Saints, or any other team, should be able to expect from any game is that the result will be denied by the players on the field."????Adding, "By missing the obvious, blatant and intentional penalty at the end of the game, the referees in Sunday’s game undermined that expectation and unfortunately were allowed to determine the winner.

"????The issue arose when a Rams defensive back hit a Saints receiver while the ball was still in the air, a play that many thought was obvious pass interference.

????Had a penalty been called, the Saints would have been given a first down and would have likely run down the clock before kicking a potential game winning field goal.

????Even two Saints ticket holders are now attempting to sue the league and force Goodell to enact an obscure rule that would allow the two teams to replay part or all of the game, according to Fox News.????However, both scenarios are highly unlikely to change the outcome of the game, and the Rams will go on to face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.??
