There isn't long to go before the end of the January transfer window.

As ever the Everton rumour mill carries on turning as we approach the last week of the month.

Marcel Brands stated what the Blues transfer policy is and has insisted that he won’t be making any signings in January but the Toffees continue to be linked with a number of players across Europe.

So here’s some of the latest transfer news concerning the Blues as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

Michy Batshuayi

Who? Chelsea’s Belgian striker who is currently on loan at Valencia and has been linked with Everton throughout this transfer window.

Where? Jim White claimed on talkSPORT that the Blues are still trying to sign Batshuayi Chelsea before the transfer window shuts.

Speaking on the Jim White Show, the broadcaster, who has links to Everton owner Farhad Moshiri, delivered an update on the club’s bid to land a new striker by January 31.

“Everton are working on Michy Batshuayi. They want to bring him there. Whether they can is another matter,” White said.

What? He remains with Valencia as it stands while Brands suggested Everton are unlikely to sign anyone this month. But should he return to Chelsea and become available, expect this to heat up as there seems like some real mileage in it.

Yannick Bolasie

Who? The Everton winger who has vowed he is ready to fight for his future but faces spending the rest of the season on the sidelines after ending his Aston Villa loan early.

Where? Crystal Palace have lined up a shock move to bring the winger back to the club after he became available on Monday, according to Football Insider.

What? Interesting to see this one develop as the media outlet reportedly have a ‘well-placed source’ inside the London club where they have received the information from.

Who? A Russian striker who plays for Zenit St Petersburg and captains his national side.

Where? RT claim Everton are looking at a potential bargain deal for the 30-year-old.

What? It seems the Blues are being linked with a whole host of strikers but it doesn’t seem like this one has much mileage.
