Housemates having loud sex has been deemed a bigger problem for share-house renters than unpaid rent or even stacks of dirty dishes.
Living in a share house might have its benefits - the main being the low cost of rent - but it does come with its pitfalls, the latest Renters Report by realestate.com.au shows.
While dirty dishes and housemates failing to pay rent on time ranks highly on the list for the biggest problems for renters, they were not deemed the worst.

Of the 3,500 young renters in Queensland surveyed, 40 per cent were spending more than a third of their income on rent.
The report also found that 14 per cent of renters admitted to spending the night in bed with one of their housemates.
Close to half of those surveyed said they had made the choice to move in with friends, but 40 per cent of those later regretted the decision.
High rental costs meant that more than 40 per cent were unable to live independently, the report found.
