Body parts found in Mumbai building's septic tank identified, killer held

MUMBAI: The body parts found in a septic tank of a seven storey residential building in Virar on Tuesday has been identified as that of a 58-year-old Mira Road resident.
The killer Pintu Sharma, a resident of Vakola in Santacruz has been held for the murder of Ganesh Koladkar, a resident of Naya Nagar in Mira Road.
Sharma allegedly killed Koladkar in a sixth floor flat of Bachraj Paradise’s ‘C’ wing in Global City of Virar West over a financial dispute.
The matter came to light when the pipeline was chocked and workers were cleaning the septic tank in the building compound on Tuesday.
Minutely cut body parts were found floating in the tank.
Arnala police said that Koladkar was missing since the past few days and a missing case was registered with Naya Nagar police.
Sharma had rented the flat 602 in which he committed the crime. The body was cut into several pieces. Few pieces were flushed through the toilet and several pieces were disposed in the nullah nearby.
Police is yet to find the head of Koladkar. The body pieces have been sent to the forensic laboratory in Kalina.
