Declared out of danger

Two field-level employees of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department were injured when a pressure bomb allegedly planted by Maoist rebels exploded along the side of a newly laid road at Chennapuram in Charla mandal on Tuesday. The two were taking measurements of the recently laid road. The duo suffered minor injuries in the blast.

They were admitted to a hospital in Bhadrachalam and were declared out of danger.

The pressure bomb was allegedly planted by the rebels abutting the road surface to target security personnel, sources added.

However, local police did not confirm the incident.
