Bhopal: The Congress-led state government, within a period of mere one month, is being attacked on law and order situation. The incidents of murders in Indore, Mandsaur, Barwani and Bhitarwar have put a severe law and order crisis before the government.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), protesting over poor law and order conditions in the state, burnt effigies across the state. BJP state president Rakesh Singh at Jabalpur and leader of opposition Gopal Bhargava led the agitation at Sagar. After the murder of a businessman in Indore, two BJP leaders were killed in Mandsaur and Barwani. A body of BJP leader was found in Gwalior district under suspicious conditions. The BJP leaders handed over memorandum on Sunday across the state against the killings.
Meanwhile, Congress too has counterattacked the BJP on these murders. Media department, chairperson, Shobha Oza claimed that the state had become a safe haven to the criminals in 15 years. She said the murders have taken place because of dealing of money. No compromise on law and order would be accepted by the Congress government, she added, saying that Chief Minister Kamal Nath had already warned the police department to be vigilant.
