Woman injured in chain-snatching incident in Chennai

CHENNAI: A woman suffered injuries after she fell off her scooter when two men on a motorcycle snatched her gold chain in Avadi here on Monday.
Police said Selvi, 50, of Govardhanagiri in Avadi went to a ration shop at Thiruninravur on Monday evening. She was returning home when two men on a motorcycle followed her snatched her gold chain weighing three sovereigns. The duo sped away with the chain.
Selvi fell off the scooter and suffered injuries on her head. Passersby rushed her to hospital
The Avadi police registered a case.
