GURUGRAM: A 25-year-old man has been booked for allegedly morphing the pictures of a 23-year-old woman, who studies with him at the same coaching institute in Delhi, after hacking her e-mail account.
According to the woman’s father, Naveen Kumar, a resident of Bahadurgarh, had proposed his daughter a few days ago which his daughter had turned down. Apparently, the accused accepted her refusal and agreed to continue a cordial relationship. However, the woman received a few obscene pictures on her mobile phone from Naveen and to her surprise the pictures were stolen from her social media account and morphed.
“My daughter has been residing in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar and on checking the account access details, we found that her account had been hacked and was accessed from different IP addresses,” the complainant said.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered against Naveen under sections 354D (stalking), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and Section 66 of the IT Act at women’s police station in Sector 51.
“The case has been registered and we are verifying the details with the help of the cyber crime cell. If found to be true, the accused will be arrested,” said sub-inspector Sunita, the investigating officer.
