Several VIPs attend religious event

Various rituals were conducted by ritviks as part of Sahasra Chandi Yagam being performed by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the well-being of the State on the second day of Yagam at his Erravalli farm in Siddipet district on Tuesday.

As many as 100 Ritviks completed 200 Chandi Parayanas that started at 9 a.m. Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao along with his wife completed Maha Harathi, Madyahnika pujas and Maha Rudra Yagam and other rituals.

As part of Raja Shyamala yagam, Ritviks completed Rajashyamala ‘Anusthanam’, ‘Homam’, Rajashyamala Maha Vidya Parayanam and Sahasra Namarchana.

Under Bagala Mukhi, 10 Ritviks completed 10,000 japams, chants in the morning at 9 a.m. and everyday all four Vedas were being recited besides Sundarkanda, Virata parva, Mahasoura chants under the aegis of Sringeri Peetadhepathi and Sharada Peetadhipathi and supervision of Madugula Manikya Somayajulu. Home Minister Mohamood Ali, MPs, MLCs, MLAs and other State leaders attended the second day the religious event.
