InventHelp Inventor Develops Straw Stabilizer (ALL-1761)

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- While beverage cups with lids generally have an opening that keeps a straw in place, that is not the case for cups without lids. Fortunately, an inventor from Dacula, Ga., designed a cup with a straw stabilizer.
She developed THE STRAW MATE to keep a straw in a beverage in place and easily accessible, especially for stroke victims, Alzheimer's patients, even younger children, without having to hold it. At the same time, it eliminates spills, mess and the associated clean-up tasks. Thus, it reduces the expense of wasted beverages, saves time and effort and leaves at least one hand free. This novel device is also lightweight, compact, portable and user friendly. Other appealing features are convenience, effectiveness, practicality and an affordable price. In addition, its simple design minimizes production costs.
The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "After watching my grandfather struggle with beverages after sustaining a stroke, leaving him paralyzed, I decided to come up with something to stabilize his straw so that he could drink fluids more easily."
