A 52-year-old Marol resident has been arrested on the charge of walking into the house of a 25-year-old woman and inappropriately touching her. The accused and the complainant know each other.
The MIDC police said Mohan Shankar Jagtap and the woman live in the same neighbourhood. While the woman is a homemaker and stays with her husband and children, Jagtap is unemployed.
On Saturday, Jagtap approached the woman and asked if her husband was at home. "After the complainant said her husband was outside, Jatap began touching her in an objectionable manner. She immediately warned him to stay off and informed her husband about the incident," said an officer from MIDC police station.
The couple then approached the police, leading to the arrest of Jagtap. He was produced in a court on Sunday that remanded him in police custody.
