What's a vehicle launch event without a vehicle?
Infiniti discovered the answer the hard way when its QX Inspiration Concept failed to appear on stage during a presentation at the Detroit auto show last week.
A malfunction had disabled the vehicle, an early look at the luxury automaker's first electric crossover.
But the glitch didn't throw off Infiniti executives, who proceeded to wax eloquent about the concept's futuristic design flourishes.
"You can't see it, but it's here," quipped Karim Habib, Infiniti's executive design director.
