Gang trying to rig judicial exam busted

LUCKNOW: A solvers’ gang trying to rig the judicial services examination (UP Civil Court Staff’s Centralized Recruitment 2018-19, Group D) on Sunday was busted by the Special Task Force. STF arrested 13 accused from various exam centres in Lucknow and Kanpur.
STF teams raided three centres in Lucknow, Queen’s Inter College, Lalbagh; Bal Nikunj Inter College, Madiaon, and Exon Montessori Girls’ Degree College, Rajajipuram, and nabbed eight persons — four impersonators, two candidates, a middle-man and a mastermind.
The accused were identified as Diwakar Kumar Singh, Pushpak Kumar, Avinash Kumar, Ankit Kumar, and Vikas Kumar aka Vikky of Bihar, Vinit and Suchit of Moradabad, and Praveen Kumar Singh of Allahabad.
Ninth accused, Chandrakant of Amroha, is on the run.
SSP STF Abhishek Singh said Diwakar was the gang leader while Suchit was middleman. Praveen, Vinit, and Chandrakant were examinees. Suchit used to lure candidates from coaching centres and asked them to pay Rs 2 lakh for selection while Rs 50,000 before the exam. The gang used photoshop software to fudge admit card.
In Kanpur, STF conducted raids at Khalsa Inter College and HP Shiksha Niketan Inter College and arrested three impersonators Amit Kumar aka Rahul Yadav, Abhinav Yadav and Aditya Yadav, all of Kannauj. Abhinav and Aditya disclosed the name of their mentor Amit Kumar. A team raided a house in Kanpur and nabbed Yadav. The cops recovered five mobile sets, a tab, a car, three ATM cards, a driving license, three voter identity cards and three Aadhaar cards from the miscreants.
Meanwhile, an impersonator was arrested for taking exam it place of an examinee at Aminabad Inter College in Lucknow. Naka police raided the college and nabbed the solver Amit Kumar of Gaya taking exam in place of Amit Kumar Sagar of Mathura.
