At least four rats could be seen at different times in footage taken from within the store in Broadway, Sydney.
A spokesperson for Craveable Brands, which operates Oporto, told Daily Mail Australia it was aware of the infestation and had taken immediate action.
The Broadway store was immediately closed after the company was notified of the footage and will remain closed until health inspectors are satisfied it meets the national standards.
'Vermin appear to have been dislocated by external construction activity in the Broadway area, which can lead to increased activity for surrounding businesses,' Oporto said.
'Vermin appear to have accessed the Broadway restaurant via a ventilation hole, or other access point from outside.'
'The store has previously passed all sanitation inspections, meeting all health standards, and undergoing a full pest control and remediation assessment every three months.
