Yamaha Launches The FZ V3 In India With Single Channel ABS

Yamaha has taken covers off the new FZ V3. It is priced at Rs. 95,000 (ex-showroom) and will be on sale with two variants, FZ-FI ABS and FZS-FI ABS. The ABS is a single channel unit . The new additions are the new LED headlight with separate housing for the beams, freshly design tank cover, a sliding engine kill switch. The mudguards are borrowed from FZ25. The instrument cluster is all new and updated which is an all digital LCD meter with bigger readouts.

Yamaha claims that the design of front-end, tank is inspired from an urban fighter. The seat is an all-new 2 level single piece seat which is 5mm thicker with a 16% larger surface. The double piece grab-rail on the previous generation makes way for an all new single piece aluminium grab rail. The FZS gets an underbelly cowl and chrome plate along with exclusive colour schemes compared to the FZ

The FZ V3 gets a newly designed sub-frame along with a higher handlebar position. The Yamaha FZ V3 continues to use a 140 mm radial rear tyre with a rear disc. The engine is the same 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve, fuel-injected engine with BlueCore technology, producing 13.2 PS of power at 8000 RPM and 12.8 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM.

 

The FZ V3 will retail at Rs. 95,000(ex-showroom) and will be available in 2 colours, metric black and racing blue while the FZ-S V3 will be retailing at Rs. 97,000 (ex-showroom) with 3 colours, dark matt blue, matt black and gray & cyan blue. The bookings have commenced at Yamaha showrooms across India with an amount of Rs. 5000.

Alongside the new FZ15 V3, the company also launched the FZ25 and Fazer 25 with dual channel ABS.
