Stalker molests 24-year-old MBA student, arrested

Representative imageGURUGRAM: A 32-year-old man was arrested on Sunday evening in Manesar for allegedly molesting and misbehaving with an MBA student.
According to the 24-year-old woman, like all other days, on Sunday too she was out for jogging by the roadside around 6pm when the accused approached her in his bike and asked for her mobile number. She tried to ignore him but he started misbehaving with her. So, she slapped him and raised an alarm. As passersby started gathering, the man tried to molest her and also abused her. The locals overpowered him and made a PCR call. Policemen reached the spot and took the accused into custody after recording statements of the eyewitnesses and the woman.
“The accused had been stalking the woman for the past few days. On Sunday, he gathered the courage to talk to her. He stopped her and asked for her phone number. When the woman refused and slapped him, he left but returned within minutes and started molesting and abusing her. That’s when the locals came to her rescue,” a police officer said.
An FIR was registered against the accused under Section 354 (molestation) of the IPC at the women police station in Manesar. “At the time of his arrest, the accused was drunk and was hurling abuses at the woman. He was produced in a city court on Monday and sent to judicial custody,” said inspector Kanta Yadav, the SHO of women police station, Manesar.
