Woman cop dead, hubby injured in Hisar

The mangled car of the victim.FATEHABAD: A woman head constable, Rajbala, was killed while her husband Azad Singh sustained injuries in an accident on Hisar-Fatehabad road near Dhangar village late on Saturday night.
The body of the 30-year-old cop, a resident of Police Lines, Fatehabad, was handed over to the family after the postmortem on Sunday. Police said that a case under Section 279 and 304-A has been registered against the unknown truck driver at the Sadar police station.
In his complaint, Azad Singh said that his wife had sustained a bullet injury while cleaning her pistol at her house and had been ill ever since. On Saturday night, Rajbala had complained of having breathing issues so they left for the hospital in their car, said Singh. Near the bus stand of Dhangar village, a truck hit them while overtaking another truck.
