BHOPAL: A city lad, who took part in a recruitment rally conducted by Army in Vidisha, died of heart attack on Sunday. In the 1600-meter race, he completed only one lap and came out and took rest for half an hour. Vididha ASP Vinod Singh Chauhan said, “Aman of Khajuri locality came to Vidisha to participate in the rally. After the race, he complained of chest pain and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Family members were informed and after postmortem, the body was handed over to kin.”
SHO Civil Lines Niranjan Sharma said, “Aman son of Ayaz Khan of Bhopal, participated in the 1600 meter race. Candidates had to complete it in four laps. But, Aman left it after completing just one lap as he developed some breathing problems. After sometime he complained of chest pain and was rushed to hospital.” The rally was held at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute Vidisha. Candidates from Betul, Chhindwara, Bhopal, Sehore, Hoshanga-bad, Rajgarh, Raisen took part in it. Race of 1600 meter was part of physical test and many candidates could not complete it.
