Parents have claimed their son is innocent following a police raid on their property in search of chemicals used to make drugs or homemade bombs.
A hazmat team was seen searching a shed on a property in the town of Picton, in NSW's Macarthur Region, on Monday.
Authorities were looking for cetone-based explosives made from easily obtainable household products such as bleach and paint thinner.

The same components were used to make the explosives used in the devastating 2005 London Underground attacks, which killed 52 people.
They were also used in more recent terrorist attacks in Paris and Manchester.
Armed police officers were seen working alongside hazmat experts in a shed in the back yard of a house on Argyle Street.
The property's home owner told 9 News his son had been in contact with a man online who was allegedly found with illegal chemicals.
The man reiterated his son had done nothing wrong.
Nothing of interest has so far been found according to a NSW Police State Crime Command spokeswoman, however, several items were reportedly removed from the property during the search.
