Girl dies in TN as house wall collapses after being hit by truck

TIRUPUR: A five-year-old girl died near Dharapuram in Tirupur district of Tamil Nadu on Friday night after the wall of a house collapsed on her when a truck hit it.
The deceased has been identified as Renuga Devi, daughter of K Sundarapandian of Vedankudi in Nagapattinam. Sundarapandian and his wife were working in a brickkiln at Nalligounden Thottam in Tirupur in district, police said.
Sundarapandian and his family members were staying in a house provided by his employer, Rajendran.
On Friday night, Renuga and her mother were sleeping in the house. When Rajendran tried to reverse his truck, the vehicle hit the house. The wall collapsed and fell on the head of Renuga.
Renuga, who suffered injuries was rushed, to Dharapuram Government Hospital where she died.
The Dharapuram police registered a case.
