Ujjain: Chardham Vidyapeeth convenes maiden annual meet

Ujjain: Chardham Vidyapeeth administered by Chardham temple organised maiden annual function on Sunday under the auspices of Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shantiswarupananda Giri Maharaj. Addressing the children, Shantiswarupananda Giri Maharaj stressed on the need of spiritual and knowledge of Vedas besides contemporary education. Respect and duty towards nation and knowledge of Indian culture should be given to children, which will help in shaping their character. One must learn the journey which contemporary education system has travelled to reach present level, he said.  Vidyapeeth director Dr Nitu Singh made the members aware of institution’s activities. Mayor Meena Jonwal also addressed the gathering on the occasion. Chief guest Paras Jain, MLA Mohan Yadav, Municipal Corporation president Sonu Gehlot, corporator Leela Verma and Geeta Choudhary participated in the programme.
