Amritha, Rajya Rani trains from May 9

PALAKKAD: Palakkad railway division has said that the Amritha Express and Rajya Rani Express, now running as one train from Shoranur to Thiruvanathapuram, will run as separate trains from May 9. A press release from the division said that Kochuveli-Nilambur Road Rajya Rani Express (train no 16349) will leave Kochuveli at 8.50pm and reach Nilambur Road at 7.50am the next day.
Nilambur Road-Kochuveli Rajya Rani Express (train no 16350) will leave Nilambur Road at 8.50pm and reach Kochuveli at 6am the next day with effect from May 9. The train will have 13 coaches.
Madurai-Thiruvananthapuram Amritha Express (train no.16344) will leave Madurai Junction at 3.15pm and reach Thiruvanathapuram Central at 5.50am the next day with effect from May 9.
Consequent to the introduction of Kochuveli-Nilambur Road-Kochuveli Rajya Rani Express, Amritha Express will bypass Shoranur Junction. Also, the train is provided with an additional stoppage at Kollengode.
