Invites Rahul to contest from Medak

Sangareddy MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy(Jagga Reddy) showered praise on A. P. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu saying he was a national leader with a vision and his contribution to the Information Technology (IT) growth in Hyderabad could not be undermined.

In an informal chitchat with media persons here, the MLA said people of Andhra Pradesh still believed that only Mr Naidu could develop the State and this feeling would help the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) win the next election.

Mr. Naidu would become Chief Minister once again and it would be beneficial to Andhra Pradesh. It was in the interest of the people of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh that Congress should be a strong force in Telangana and the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh.

He opined that AICC president Rahul Gandhi should contest from Medak and he would be elected with a huge majority.

If Mr. Gandhi was not interested, he would support if Vijayashanti wanted to contest. If she was not interested, he would seek the ticket for his wife.

Defence of Uttam

Mr. Reddy defended Telangana Pradesh Congress Comittee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy saying that he alone could not be made responsible for the party’s defeat in Telangana. There were several factors and people wanted to give a second chance to Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao as Chief Minister.

He also ridiculed the criticism of the TPCC president, Mr. Uttam, by senior leader Sarve Satynarayana. It was his personal opinion and not of Congresss MLAs, he said.
