Prof’s son hangs self in Jamnagar
tnn | Jan 21, 2019, 04:00 ISTRajkot: A class XI (science stream) student hanged himself to death from the ceiling of his house on Saru Section Road opposite Satyam Hotel in Jamnagar on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Mayursinh Jadeja (17).
“Our preliminary investigation has revealed that Jadeja was the son of Bhupendrasinh Jadeja, who serves as a professor with MD Science College in Porbandar, and Namrata Jadeja, who is posted as the deputy education officer in Jamnagar. We are yet to find out the reasons for the suicide,” said an official from Jamnagar B division police station.
On Saturday evening, when Namrata returned home from her office and opened the door with her key, she found Jadeja hanging. Jadeja had used a dupatta to hang himself, said police. tnn
