A one-day national seminar on “Quality Enhancement in Higher Education System” for college teachers was organised by Internal Quality Assurance cell of K.M.G. College of Arts & Science, Gudiyatham.
V. Arulmurugan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Pondicherry University, addressed the gathering on NAAC and NIRF parameters and on “A teacher’s perspective on quality enhancement”.
K. Kishore, Assistant Professor from Voorhees College, Vellore, highlighted e-content development for quality enhancement and e-classroom for quality teacher-student interaction.
As many as 129 participants cutting across the colleges affiliated to Tiruvalluvar University and other State universities participated in the proceedings. D. Gajapathy, director of the college, delivered the inaugural address.
M. Jayasri Rani, principal of the college, welcomed the gathering.
J. Srinivasan, co-ordinator of IQAC of the colleges, has convened the seminar.
The need for getting accredited by NAAC was stressed at the meeting.
It was mentioned that quality in higher education could be defined precisely only after all the stakeholders in higher education system deliberate on this topic.
