Not between Jaipur and Hisar, but the first DEMU train would begin between Jaipur and Ajmer. NWR has informed that it will be starting Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DMEU) for Ajmer from this Monday. It will be operated on 6 days and won’t be running on Sunday. Giving the information, senior public relation officer Kamal Joshi from NWR informed that train number 79602 Jaipur-Ajmer DEMU will leave Jaipur at 17:15 hours and will reach Ajmer at 20:35 hours. Similarly, train number 79601 between Ajmer and Jaipur will leave Ajmer in the morning at 07:15 hours and will reach Jaipur at 10:10 hours.
A lot of passengers travel for work from Ajmer to Jaipur on a daily basis. Passengers from places like Phulera, Kanakpura etc come daily to Jaipur to work in various factories and offices while many teachers too travel between Phulera and Jaipur. Similarly, a lot of skilled people and professionals go from Jaipur to Kishangarh for work. This DEMU train will be a boon for all of these people as it will stop on all stations like Kishangarh, Phulera, Asalpur Jobner, Dhankya, Kanakpura etc while connecting Ajmer and Jaipur.
This is a typical type of train as it looks different from the traditional rake. Its acceleration and even de-acceleration is more than the average train and is a faster and convenient mode of travel for the daily passengers. These types of trains have less vibration and also sound less. Since it has two power cars at both sides, time is saved during reversal of the engine.
Compared with the traditional rake, this rake has more seating capacity and since the coaches are interlinked, the passengers can move easily between the two coaches. Mostly, the DEMU’s cater to smaller stations and offer quick start and then stops, which is not possible in regular rakes generally, they are like local train model running in Mumbai whose de-acceleration and acceleration is also fast.
There is a DEMU running between Churu and Sikar and is very popular. DEMU is a regular train seen in NCR region with many such trains running between Delhi and Haryana too.
