Police were called to a crash in Melbourne's south-east on Saturday night and were confronted with the naked truth - literally.

Investigators were told a grey Toyota coupe was travelling on Wendover Court, Mount Waverley, when it lost control and crashed into a parked car just after 11.20pm.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 19-year-old man who was completely nude and standing on the road appearing disoriented and confused.

Police say the P-plater was nearly three times over the legal alcohol limit, delivering a breath test result of 0.142.

The teen's probationary licence has been suspended and he is expected to be charged with drink driving and other traffic-related offences.

His car was also severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
