CM should concentrate on Transport Management: Bali

Dharamshala, January 19, 2019: The ex-transport minister of Himachal Pradesh and the senior congress leader of the state GS Bali said that the CM of HP Jai ram Thakur should concentrate on the transport management in the state in his budget. Speaking to media in Dharamshala on Saturday Bali said, “State need parking lots everywhere as the number of registered vehicles in this small hill state have already crossed 12 lakh mark.” He said that the lack of parking facility force vehicle owners to park their vehicles even on both the sides of National Highways. These parked vehicles are becoming one of the major causes of road accidents, he added.
“The other issues the CM should focus in the coming state budget are unemployment and drug menace,” said Bali. He said that the number of unemployment youth has risen above 10 lakh mark, where as the total population of the state is around 70 lakh. “The government should bring out a document or vision to indicate that how many jobs it shall create during 2019. He requested the CM to restart the unemployment allowance in the state so that the poor youth could use it in there transportation and other expenses during their interviews etc for jobs. “ Congress government has made the provision of 150 crore for unemployment allowance and it must be utilized,” added Bali.
He alleged that there is only pick and choose policy of the present government in allotting the funds for house construction for poor in the state. “This must be stopped to help deserving, “said Bali.
Speaking of on the happening in the party’s Shimla office Bali said, “ the action should taken on the culprits after going through the CTV clippings.” He said that the national leader of Congress, Rahul Ganghi has clearly said in parliament and in Shimla that there is no place for violence in the party. He added,” what happened in Shimla is most unfortunate.”
