I think it’s time that “We the People” come to the realization that our government does not always work in the best interest of its citizens.

How did we ever allow our government to come to this point and be able to hold us hostage? We need to come together to change whatever laws need to be changed so that a government shutdown will no longer be tolerated.

The president has stated he will call for a national emergency if things don’t change. Can someone please ask him if his decision will come before or after a major national emergency? Is that what he is waiting for?

As I have said many times, that which made this country great is no longer sacred. Politics and greed are tearing this country apart. Has anyone ever noticed that politicians are never impacted by the decisions they make? Do you really think anyone in Washington is impacted by this shutdown?

What we are experiencing is not a government shutdown but a democracy shutdown.
