Kamal Nath launches IAS Officers Meet, says our greatest strength is tolerance
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Chief Minister Kamal Nath launched a three-day IAS Officers’ Meet at the Convention Center here today. He told the officials that the implementation of the schemes according to the wishes of the needy is the need of the present time. He said there is a lot of difference between success and satisfaction. The success of achieving a position is not the basis of satisfaction. Satisfaction comes with successful results. Success stays as long as we hold a position, whereas satisfaction stays with us forever.
Conservation of diversity is the biggest challenge
Chief Minister Nath said that the entire world sees India as the power of unity in its multiplicity, not for economic and military power. He said that our greatest strength is tolerance, which is present from the time of Chandragupta Maurya and Emperor Ashoka. We must be proud that we are citizens of such a country, where many religions, castes, traditions, languages ??exist. There is no such other nation in the world. Our outfit also changes with geographical changes. Our diversity is our power. The Chief Minister said that its protection is the biggest challenge of the present day.
Conceptual and dedicated officers for new-generation
Nath said that with the challenges of the rapidly changing world, the need of the hour is to re-create the country and the state. Accordingly, we all have to work together, conform and dedicate ourselves together. He said that changes in the nature of the service along with changes in the expectations of the general public have also changed.
NATO’s appearance at the global level has changed. Movements like non-alignment are no longer discussed. He said that the country has adopted these changes very well. The challenge before us is how we see global changes, how we accept it.
Nath said that today the responsibility of the authorities is to take the country and the region forward with new changes. How to change and improve the governance is the challenge. He said that the nature of the future of the state will be decided on this fact.
World scenario changing rapidly: CM
Addressing the IAS Officers Meet further, CM Nath said that the world scenario is changing rapidly. Accordingly, we are also changing. He told that in the year 1992, for the first time he gave an explanation in Lal Bahadur Administration Academy, Mussoorie.
After 6-7 years when he went to the academy again, he got a lot of change in faculty, trainees and subject matter. He said that in the year 1992, there was no talk on the subject of technology and information technology etc.
Nath said that he was feeling such a special change at the time of his meeting with probationary officers of the Indian Administrative Service. He said that these officers have a large number of engineers and doctors. It did not happen 20 years ago. The CM said that there has been a difference in the age group of officers.
Officers’ meet a good initiative: CM
Chief Minister said that the Officers Meet is a good initiative. This gives an opportunity to senior and junior officers to meet in an informal environment. He said that the Indian Administrative Service is most comprehensive and diverse. The scope of the work area here is more than any other service. The administrative service officer has the experience of serving in different jurisdictions throughout the service period, whereas in other services it is not so.
Knowledge of global issues must: CS
Chief Secretary Shri S.R. Mohanty told the officials that the attitude must be changed. Junior officials will get the benefit of the experience of seniors. He said that administrative decisions should be made at the district level.
Senior officials also assist the subordinate officials in the decision making. Shri Mohanty said that there are liabilities in the present time too. Only response time has diminished.
He said that the authorities must have knowledge of global issues. The Chief Secretary said that it is necessary for a Team Leader to provide full support to the team.He bestowed all the officials on the success of Officers Meet.
IAS Mrs Gauri Singh, President of Association said that the participation of officials in cultural activities, sports and other programmess together during the meet will be better. Mutual understanding will increase.
Mr. Pankaj Aggarwal, Chairman of the Meet Organizing Committee, gave details of the activities during the meet. He informed that in the coming two and a half days, the cultural programmes between the members of the Meet Association and their families will be indoor-outdoor games, Antakshari and Quiz etc.
Panels Discussions are also being organized for explanation on contemporary issues and understanding each other’s thoughts.
