Haryana: One held with narcotic drugs in Ambala

AMBALA: The CIA-1 of the district police arrested a man on Friday and seized 296 narcotic injections from his possession.
The police also filed a case against the accused under various sections of the Narcotics, Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Baldev Nagar police station.
The arrested man has been identified as Rahul Kumar alias Lovely, resident village Kanwala in the district.
Rahul was presented before a court which sent him to two-day police remand.
The arrest was made on January 18 following a tip off.
While checking, the team recovered nine boxes of narcotic injections containing 96 Buprenorphine injections of 2 ML’ and 200 Avil 10 ML Maleate injections from his possession.
“After the recovery of drugs, a case under section 21(c) and 22(c) of the NDPS Act has been registered at Baldev Nagar police station. The interrogation of the accused is being done under a two-day police remand,” said a police officials.
