education Updated: Jan 19, 2019 17:00 ISTShubhankar Gambhir (17), made his home State Rajasthan proud by grabbing place among top 15 students who have scored 100 percentile in the JEE Mains January 2019 examination, the results of which were declared on Saturday.
“Don’t get depressed by your mistakes but identify them,” said Shubhankar Gambhir while enumerating his success mantra in JEE Mains January 2019.
Father of Kota boy Shubhankar’s is an engineer in DCM industrial group in Kota, while his mother Nisha is a housewife. He is a student of Resonance institute Kota.
On being asked how he cracked the exam, Shubhankar said that reading the questions properly and working hard on his mistakes helped him succeed in the exam.
“Stay in touch with teachers, revise the notes and complete the homework daily,” he said.
Shubhankar used to study for 11-12 hours a day, including 6 hours of coaching, when he had not completed his syllabus. After completion of syllabus he studied 5-6 hours daily.
Shubhankar said he took help of abacus and sudoku for improving speed of mathematics calculations and brain exercise respectively.
Shubhankar likes to play chess, carom, cards and other indoor games with his twin sister Priyanka.
Cracking JEE Advanced 2019 and studying Computer science at IIT Mumbai is what he aspires at present.
