The Delhi government issued a circular on Friday encouraging students to take part in a national challenge for youth to find creative solutions using technology to solve the various problems being faced by the country.
‘Ideate for India-Creative Solutions using Technology’ was launched by the National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, to give school students a platform and an opportunity to become solution creators for the problem they see around them and their community. The event will enable students to move from being ‘users’ of technology to becoming ‘creators’ of new indigenous technology.
The challenge is open to students of Classes VI-XII. There are 11 core themes: healthcare services, education services, digital services, environment, women safety, traffic, infrastructure, agriculture, social welfare, disability and tourism, that students can ideate on. From Delhi, 10 students will be selected to attend boot camps to be trained by experts and mentors. Last date for registration is January 31.
