Indore: The menacing profile of perversion raised it ugly hood once again in the city when a man tried to rape a three-year-old girl in a factory under Banganga police station jurisdiction on Thursday. The little child’s shrieks and cries alerted workers following which the man fled.
According to the Additional Superintendent of Police Prashant Choubey, the victim’s mother has lodged a complaint against 35-year-old Jagpal Singh Thakur residing in Bhavani Nagar area of the city. She stated in her compliant that she works at the factory where the accused is also employed.
She had brought her daughter to factory as there’s no one at home to take care of the little child. Her husband works as a security guard in the neighboring factory. She was busy in her work while her three-year-old daughter was playing nearby. The accused carried the child to an isolated site behind the factory where he attempted to rape her but just in time her mother and others reached the spot after they were alerted by the child’s cries.
In another incident, a woman has lodged a complaint against a person named Harkesh Tiwari residing in Sundar Nagar for allegedly molesting her in Banganga area on Thursday. She told police that Harkesh held her hand with bad intentions and molested her. Meanwhile, a 13-year-old boy was sodomised by a person under Kshipra police station jurisdiction on Tuesday. He told police that Ashok residing in Mangliya took him to purchase sugarcane on his bike and in between, he stopped his bike in a jungle and allegedly committed the crime.
